Railfan Technology > Field Monitoring ATCS--Windows 8.1

I have field monitor with Windows Vista for years but I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and I cannot get the laptop to accept the data while field monitoring. Iknow it has something to do with the Windows program as I have run my old computer at the same time and it works. Ireceive server layouts just fine

Anyone have any experience in this matter and can give me some advice on what the problem might be

What is your ATCSMonitor install path?
Can you provide a screenshot of your Data Source tab?

You might try right-clicking on the application icon and choose "run as administrator", that gives applications more permissions, sometimes they need that to get to the hardware (com/usb ports) they need.
