Railfan Technology > T.O. Spell checker problemsDate: 05/27/16 17:05 T.O. Spell checker problems Author: joemvcnj For Firefox 46.0.1 at home (not at work), each successive click of Ignore or Replace simply makes the window darker until it is black. The only way to get out of it is to click OK as many times as you hit Ignore/Replace to successively undo your edits.

What OS are you guys using? (I am using Win 7, my browser is also FireFox 46.0.1.) I do like having a spell-checker, because I am a poor typist. But!! Please be aware that no spell- checker ever made will catch misspellings that are actual words, properly spelled. "Sight" instead of "site", and "loose" instead of "lose", and -- to give an example from work long ago, that was in a "What's New in District 4 " announcement that went to every one of our sites in the entire Bay Area, it read "Toll BRIDE" instead of "Toll BRIDGE" !! LOL! I mean -- I know we all sometimes feel as though we *are* married to our jobs, but *this* was a real classic! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/02/16 12:08 by Margaret_SP_fan. I don't know but if I got a message about a "Toll Bride" I'd sure pay more attention and actually read that message. Date: 06/04/16 04:52 Re: T.O. Spell checker problems Author: joemvcnj I have Win 7 Pro 64 bit at home and at the office. I forgot the version # of Firefox at the office, which I am not authorized to touch anyway, but spell-checker works fine in the office.
Basically, every click of Ignore or Replace or Close buttons make the screen darker and darker. Then I have to hit the X in the upper right of the dialog box repeatedly the same number of times to back out of it, and undo the corrections. Date: 06/14/16 16:39 Re: T.O. Spell checker problems Author: joemvcnj Up to Firefox 47.0 now and TO spellchecker works fine now.
