Signal Sunday
Author: SantaFeRuss

While out in the LA area this past week, I decided to get this shot of the signals near Hobart Tower on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe. My contribution to "Signal Sunday". Enjoy!

That shows you don't have to have an actual train in the photo, to have a great train photo.

Great picture.  Congrats on the IOTD.

With all that red showing, doesn't look like anyone is going anywhere.

The tracks going up the ramp cross above the Los Angeles River, BNSF, Union Pacific and past the ex Santa Fe roundhouse (now Amtrak) (Redondo JCT) and up the river to Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. The ramp also goes over BNSF / UP tracks which are the tracks to the LA/Long Beach harbor area. Movements that go up the ramp are Amtrak, Metrolink and some Burlington Northern Santa Fe local/empty intermodal trains.
