Holiday train in the rain
Author: Mberry

On what turned out to be a very rainy night unfortunately, the 2015 U.S. edition of the CP holiday train is making its stop at Delson, Qc tonight with CP 2246 leading. It will make two more stops in Quebec before deadheading to New York. Tomorrow the Canadian edition will make its first stop at Montreal West station.

Hope EHH is not a TO lurker as my guess is that he's not aware of this extravagant expense and if he finds out it will not only be its last year but some heads will roll !!

Don't worry - he's in consultation with the CP lawyers today:

I guess Canada negligence laws are different than in the US.  That suit would not fly in the US.  For the life of me I don't know how you can blame someone who safely delivered the freight it was hired to haul because somebody else screwed up who was not under CP control.

When you don't have a lake, a puddle will do.  I bet most of us have used this puddle trick a few times.  And it worked exceptionally well here because of the multi-colored lights. Those reflections take the photo over the top.  A nice piece of work Michael.  Thanks for posting it.

The bands of color in the puddle are great!  Very nice execution all around.  And congrats on the well deserved IOTD.

Thanks everyone! With the heavy rain I almost didn't go out, glad I got a nice image out of it in the end.
