I don't think so. If the train is headed north, then the sun is in the west. Last I heard, it rises in the east. Hmmmmm????

Nice shot, though, regardless of direction or time of day...

The train is actually travelling in a northerly direction. VRE runs with their engines facing south or west, there is a cab control car on the other end of the train. Mystery solved!
