Steam & Excursion > PM 1225 Christmas Train Leaves Owosso

We got back from Utah yesterday after a 2 month stay out there
to help with a new grandkid. I was debating getting up really
early and heading down to Owosso, MI to watch the PM 1225, but
sleeping in won out. Around 2:30 PM I decided to head on down
there just to watch it leave Owosso, and maybe catch it in
Carland by the elevator. By the time she puffed by, it was
5:12 PM and getting darker by the minute, so I abandoned the
Carland idea and headed for home. I had to crank it up to
ISO 3200 and still there is just a bit of motion blur, but
probably worthy of a post here.

I've got three more weeks of this delight before the final
run of the year, and I should get out and do some video
in the country. We've got snow coming tomorrow :-)

John, I haven't been to Owosso to see the 1225 yet this season. I think I'm going to try to get up there, but I'd go in a minute if we had some snow.
