Western Railroad Discussion > Racing the WSOR Reedsburg RocketDate: 02/18/17 18:26 Racing the WSOR Reedsburg Rocket Author: rrartist Well that is certainly a play on words as the train moved at a blistering 10 mph from the first image in Dane WI up and over the Merrimac Bridge seen in the last image, so buckle up, time to race the Rocket. From the top down, the WSOR 3928 rolls through Dane WI and crossing a very old stone bridge north of Dane.
Date: 02/18/17 18:31 Re: Racing the WSOR Reedsburg Rocket Author: rrartist Just south of Lodi WI the tracks cross STH 113 in a Wisconsin farm setting captured in all three of these images. The bovines didn't seem too impressed by the passing Rocket.
Date: 02/18/17 18:36 Re: Racing the WSOR Reedsburg Rocket Author: rrartist The train passes through the rural Wisconsin farmlands as it nears Lake Wisconsin and eventually crossing the Wisconsin River at Merrimac WI.

Larry Date: 02/18/17 19:45 Re: Racing the WSOR Reedsburg Rocket Author: SP8595 Certainly is a neat engine leading and a nice little local to chase! Those MK rebuilds in UP yellow paint seem to be on a lot of Regional railroads.

Uncommon off the BNSF, which has about 100 of them, not including the BN rebuilds. A history would be nice. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 02/19/17 14:50 Re: Racing the WSOR Reedsburg Rocket Author: rrartist Built as D&H 7615 - 4/76 then BM 455, then to UP 1234, then to WAMX 3928.
