Also as we drove back north on 5 towards 10 and then THE 405..*can't get used to THE in front of every hwy in LA*, noticed the same rails behind a lot of businesses and warehouses..what line is this???
Also think I saw parts of Union Station...saw a big DHL building and lots of rails on both sides of the river...if I can swing it, I'm heading hopefully out to Tehachapi on Saturday..KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!! Yeah, that is the storage for the Anaheim "yard"; there are two sidings along the Santa Ana Freeway between Euclid and Brookhurst. One is "Long Pass" and the other siding is called "The Extention". I think the original yard is now under a self-storage business. I am sure Myford Browning or SteveD could tell tales of the history of the yard and surrounding area. |
