The Canadian in the Thompson River Canyon
Author: SD89MAC

On June 16, 2018, the westbound VIA #1 was running many hours late (not helped by having to wait in the hole at Ashcroft for an eastbound freight to clear), which meant it made a daylight run through both the Thompson and Fraser River canyons. Here are a couple photos as it made it's way west.

Photo 2 - Between Morris and Lasha

Damn nice. The kid in me wishes Amtrak still ran this type of equipment. It has far more appeal than the crap they run now.

What is the sixth car in the consist, with lots of glass?. Kinda looks like an ACL HOLLYWOOD BEACH type of sun-room car/low level dome.

It's one of three single level "Panorama" cars built by Colorado Railcar.
