Canadian Railroads > A Gourd-geous Day On The Squamish SubDate: 11/12/18 20:34 A Gourd-geous Day On The Squamish Sub Author: CP5702 The weather this past Sunday started out looking gorgeous, however as it is in British Columbia, it can change in an instant. With a few Gourds leftover from Halloween, the idea was to find a few spots along CN's Squamish Sub and give them one last use.
1). At Culliton Creek, north of Squamish, the Gourds give a rollby of CN 8921, which is in charge of southbound 570. 2). CN 5445, 2570 & 2425 hustle northbound 571, passed Mile 52 in the Cheakamus area. Due to a precarious hike up, Gourd and his buddies had to wait in the vehicle. At Rainbow Creek Park in Whistler, the Gourds noticed a cabin right by the tracks and checked in for a nights stay. Before parting ways, we observe them watching 571, as it continues north.
4). Back in Squamish, our day ends with a short night shoot, as CN 8921 and 2644 await there next assignment on 546, to North Vancouver. The Squamish Chiefs hails as a backdrop. Thanks for looking.
