Still working out the bugs on a new camera but here's today's daytime BNSF Northbound Detour through Dunsmuir... well in this case south Mott.

I'm still awestruck at how the new cameras deal with low light and bright colors. Did some PSE auto Smart Fix and a couple notches of shadow lighten, same train but slightly different colors. the Auto Smart Fix probably read the image different. Had to process an image and post it on TO to see how it looks.

Color looks exagerrated to me. Is that what you were shooting for?

Nope, greens look good to me. The orange goes through the roof, grey ballast seems to have shifted as well. Didn't touch the colors in PSE.

I think it is pretty close to the "natural eye".

Somebody needs to get their "natural eyes" examined.

Should have left the second photo off the post. I was fascinated by the improved resolution over the older camera.

There is 'something' going on with the orange, the second and third locomotives have it going on as well. After the post I spent some time trying to 'turn it down' and it just doesn't go away.

What camera are you using?

Without judging since only on phone, if you want to change, - not sure of pse but there should a vibrance control, preferred, or saturation. Bob

The second one definitely has a blue tint.  Look at the rails and ballast.  Marty
