Western Railroad Discussion > Couple more speedy shots

Before I leave for the day I thought I'd post the last batch of my speedy shots if I don't have a chance to later on.

First one is a shot I took at Rodeo of a WB stack train running along the Bay. An EB Amtrak Capitol met it there and you can see where the headlight of the capitol lit up the ends of each of the containers. As an added bonus, a group of partiers were lighting off some fireworks which was nice.

Second is a pan/zoom shot of WP 707 leading the hospital train through the FRC in May of '05

Third up is a photo of an EB Manifest working hard up the hill at Norden snowshed.

Nice technique on the pan/ zoom, very well done!

Next up we have a WB stack train at Altamont Pass at night.

After holding for a good 30 minutes the 2141 local charges East at Rheem siding in Richmond in the late afternoon.

The EB LRS92 (I think) pulls up to the East switch of Altamont Siding to let the AGBMI pass through on the siding

The last two I'll post.

First is a shot of the 3985 at the East end of Elko. (First time seeing a mainline steam engine in action!)

and last is a pacing shot of the SP Heritage unit running WB near Richvale on its second revenue run.

Great shots, especially the first one. Being a professional pyrotechnician myself, I can really appreciate the extra color in that shot.

Nice shot! What exactly did you do for this shot, and how did you pull it off so sharp?
