Western Railroad Discussion > My weather pictureDate: 10/31/04 18:03 My weather picture Author: CANUCK In January, 2004 I went home from California to my hometown of Calgary, Alberta to visit family and friends and of course, do a little railfanning.
With a couple of buddies I headed east from Calgary along Canadian Pacific's Brooks Sub just a few miles past the village of Indus where I took this picture on a crisp Sunday morning. Overnight the temperature had warmed to just above freezing and quite a thick fog had rolled in. The fog was carried by a light wind which pushed the fog into the trees. The fog then froze on the leeward side of the branches and became hoar frost. It truly was a winter wonderland! Brian |
