The Blue Door of the BNSF
Author: mearsksealand

It would seem to me by this time someone would see this little blue door orphan and replace the----door.

My contribution to the time line of this unit------------any more contributions out there.

Image number 1 June 7, 2008 coming out of Caliente, Calif on the Mojve Sub as a DPU unit.

Image number 2 January 15, 2009 Pisgah California on the Needles Sub as headin power.

Is there a Conrail Dash 8 running around without a door?

And if so, was it ever used to payback horsepower hours to the BNSF?

Hmmmm... very interesting.

Lets face it folks, times are tough. When you need a part, go to the junk yard. If it works, BNSF could care less what color it is! How many red Warbonnet parts have you seen on BNSF Heritage units? Hundreds!

I get a laugh when RR maintenance people insist that they don't cannibalize the fleet to keep a unit running.....
