Colorado's CB&Q Bridge Plaques

The Colorado State Highway Department (now called Colorado Department of Transportation) placed plaques on their highway overpasses of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. This one was on the Sable Blvd overpass since demolished. Taken west of Barr Siding, Colorado, August 12, 1985.

BN Caboose 12285

Burlington Northern caboose 12285 had passed the Sable Blvd overpass minutes earlier as it zipped eastward along Barr Lake (east of Barr Siding) on BN's Brush Subdivision August 12, 1985. Train was a manifest moving east (likely to Sterling).

I hope someone got that plaque...

There are a couple others around. I'll have to get some pictures.
