BNSF along the Mississippi River
Author: speederman01

One of my favorite spots for railroad photography is the busy BNSF main between Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin and the LaCrosse, Wisconsin yard. While this is a north-south railroad, there are many places where the tracks head east/west, making it possible to shoot trains going either direction, all day long. There is an abundance of trains, all you need to do is pick your spot and wait. Thanks for taking a look! Dave

#4 National Fish Hatchery at Genoa
#5 Dairyland Power at Genoa. Unfortunately, their coal arrives by barge. (;^(
#6 Colorful westbound passing over one of the many inlets.

More Later! Thanks for looking. Dave

What a great set of photographs. I rode through there several times on CB&Q and Amtrak trains. I drove through there. Why didn't I stop to take pictures? Now I know! Thanks for an excellent posting.
