A Few Hours Later...
Author: FrontRangeTrains

It's snowing! From sunny skies to cloudy weather, then to white out conditions, the weather in Colorado can change quickly. Earlier this afternoon, the snow continues to fall at a good rate as the Longmont Switch returns back to Longmont with a cut of sand cars, coil cars, and other freight from Fort Collins. The train is seen running down the middle of Atwood Street in Longmont.

Thanks for looking!

That's the Colorado I have come to love, great shot. At eleven it was forty seven and sunny here (Palmer Lake), now 28 snowing with an inch so far.

I checked a weather station near Palmer Lake. For today it has gone from 19.9 to 52.0 degrees. Yesterday had a slightly greater swing, 18.0 to 57.9. The station I checked showed 47.1 at eleven this morning. Current temp is 28.9. No matter how you cut it, that's a pretty good swing.

In Louisville, Ky. we got above freezing for a few hours today. We haven't been above 50 for over 2 weeks. Had snow on the ground for nearly two weeks now. On the bright side, it's not Boston.

Thanks for braving the snow just to share that photo with us. I think the little red sign on the right in the background says it all.

John

The graph has times in UTC time (or GMT) and is 7 hours ahead of local downtown Palmer Lake, Co.

Really like the street running photo, the snow, the engines. In fact, I really like just everything about the photo.
Thanks for the dedication and sharing.
