A Good Start To 2015
Author: pennsy3750

I haven't gotten out much yet this year, so I've tried to make it count. Here are a couple of the highlights thus far:

1 - Aftermath of the Blizzard Of 2015. Providence & Worcester usually does winter cleanup with a pair of light engines, but almost three feet of snow getting dumped on the Boston area overnight required them to bring out the heavy artillery. I saw this out the living room window, and then went out. Tried to get more than one shot but chasing was a lost cause for a variety of annoying reasons, so this was it.

2 - A week or so before the snow, my son needed to get out of the house one afternoon, so we took a ride up to Worcester. The scanner foretold of an approaching CSX Q426, so we headed into the warmth of Union Station to wait. When the train showed up, I ducked out the side door we were standing in just long enough to fire off a couple frames and get back inside.

3 - On 1/31, I went down to Philadelphia for the Wilmington NRHS Chapter's Super Saturday PCC charter. I think we had a total of 15 photo stops through the day; this was at 42nd and Woodland, getting toward the end of the day.

Beautiful images. I like number three with the rebuilt PCC since it shows it in use on a city street instead of the way many are seen in a museum.

Why? Do you think the students at USP (University of the Sciences in Philadelphia) will attack you?
