CSXT Donates $5K to Oak Grove, OH Fire Dept.

CSX Transportation is donating $5000 to the Oak Grove, Ohio, Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

The donation is part of CSX's effort to thank the department for their assistance in the clean up of a coal derailment that occurred on December 19, 2005.

CSX will be presenting the donation to the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire and Rescue at the Washington County Commissioners Meeting scheduled for March 30, 2006. The meeting will be held at 223 Putnam Street, Marietta, Ohio, at 2:30 p.m.

"Thanks to the hard work and professional nature of the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire and Rescue, CSX was able to clear the debris and erect a temporary bridge in record time," said Don Hensley, Superintendent, Line of Road. "We look forward to our continued relationship with the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire and Rescue. They do a great job protecting the community they serve."
