Juniata Terminal E8As to Power June 15 Special in NJ

The Juniata Terminal Co. and the Morristown & Erie Railroads are set to operate a sepcial train over New Jersey Transit rails on June 15.

Utilizing Juniata Terminal\'s ex-Pennsylvania Railroad E8As, 5711 and 5809, the special will consist of equipment supplied by both the Juniata Terminal and Morristown & Erie and will make the run to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the predecessor publication to today\'s Railway Age magazine.

Plans are in place to have the train depart Hoboken, New Jersey on the afternoon of June 15 and make a round trip to Bay Head Junction. It is being operated in conjunction with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) convention in New York City and will benefit the APTA Scholarship Fund.

The train is not being opened to public sales as space aboard has been reserved and allocated for corporate sponsors.
