Amtrak has made it very difficult to run private railroad cars on short trips, so this is a rare opportunity to ride a classic railroad car at an affordable price. Schedules are subject to change, even cancelation by Amtrak. When riding the National Forum, it’s literally all about journey, the magnificent views of the coastline, the people you will meet on board, and supporting a worthy cause. No refunds after November 1, 2019 unless the trip is cancelled by Amtrak, in which case you will receive a full refund. Due to the limited number of passengers we are able to accommodate, sales via the PRS website will have priority.

Pacific Railroad Society is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation contracting with Amtrak to provide facilities and transportation. PRS will do their best to provide the services as described, but unplanned events can force schedule, route, and equipment changes without notice. Due the historic nature of the National Forum, wheel chairs and mobility devices cannot be accommodated, but every attempt will be made to accommodate passengers with disabilities. Due to environmental regulations, Bedrooms and Roomettes no longer equipped with an in-room toilet, but separate Men’s and Women’s restrooms are available at the end of the car.
