Private cars behind regular Amtrak trains--New York-Chicago-Emeryville and return. Private cars include sleeper Cimarron River, Berlin (luxury suites-extra cost), Catalpa Falls (sleeper lounge) and the Milwaukee Super Dome (west of Chicago).
Westbound--depart New York June 7, depart Chicago June 9
Eastbound--depart Emeryville June 19, depart Chicago June 22.
Fares:
New York and Chicago, $1,350 (per person in shared bedroom)
Chicago and Emeryville, $2,950 (per person in shared bedroom)
Transcontinental, $4,300 (per person in shared bedroom).
Eastbound fares are same. Some roomettes available eastbound only, same fare.
