LA Rail is proud to announce our Fall private car trip to Seattle, featuring open-platform business car TIOGA PASS and pullman sleeper Pacific Sands. We will leave Los Angeles on Saturday, October 19th on the rear of Amtrak's train 14, The Coast Starlight. Passengers aboard will enjoy a 115-mile ride along the California coastline, and then next morning, awaken to the beauty of Mount Shasta and a journey thru Oregon's Cascade Mountains and on to Portland and then Seattle. Arrival in Seattle will be at 900pm Sunday evening. Your private room aboard our cars will be your hotel for the three nights spent in Seattle. Seattle is a fascinating city with many activities and sights, such as a harbor cruise aboard a real sailing ship, ferry rides across Puget Sound, The Space Needle and Pike's Place Market. Be sure to see the fresh salmon there! Thursday morning, our two cars will be added to Amtrak train 11, bound for Los Angeles. The afternoon views of Cascade Canyon and Crescent Lake will be seen as we enjoy dinner in the dining room of TIOGA PASS, served on real china, silver and linen. The next morning, you will view the urban decay of South Oakland as we pass thru on our way to San Jose (isn't that a line in a song?) and then a delightful afternoon ride down the California coastline on our way home. We should arrive in LA about 900pm Thursday, October 24th.
Book your space aboard this rare private car trip by calling Norm at 760 953 9620 or e-mail Aroncolc@aol.com.
This trip is a full service journey. All meals prepared by our chef and served in the dining room, and all beverages are included in your fare, and every passenger will have a private sleeping car room. We hope you will join us for this great journey!
Fares for this exciting trip begin at $3950 per person for a roomette or double occupancy in a bedroom. Passengers will have access to both cars for the entire trip.
