After great debates over which trains can handle private cars to San Diego, a schedule has evolved. "TIOGA PASS", a former CN business car based in Los Angeles, will run Los Angeles to San Diego on two round trips Saturday November 8th, and two round trips Sunday November 9th. You can ride the "varnish" as they used to say, on one or all of these trips. The first trip will leave LA at 610am on train 562, arriving San Diego at 904am,
turning right back to LA on train 573, and right back to San Diego on train 580 at 310pm, and finally leaving for LA on 591 at 701pm. Sunday the 9th's schedule is the same except leaving LA at 710am on 564, Of course, breakfast will be served in the dining room each morning trip, and dinner on silver and china will be proudly served on the evening trips.
