Private Car Service is pleased to announce a classic rail travel opportunity especially for Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14, 2026. Aboard a classic heavyweight railroad business car, we will be offering two round trip journeys between Los Angeles and San Diego.

On Valentine’s Day, we will offer your choice of a morning or an afternoon departure from Los Angeles aboard the “Redwood Empire”.

The morning departure will leave Los Angeles at 6:10 am. arriving in San Diego at 9:04 am; it will then depart San Diego at 10:01 am, and arrive back into Los Angeles at 12:57 pm. Snacks and Brunch will be served aboard as well as hot and cold beverages.


The afternoon departure will leave Los Angles at 3:10 pm, arriving into San Diego at 6:04 pm; it will then depart San Diego at 7:01 pm, and arrive back into Los Angeles at 9:57 pm. Afternoon Tea and Supper will be served aboard as well as hot and cold beverages.

Limited to 16 passengers aboard. $275 per person.
