As some have noted, there have been very few chances to ride aboard a private railcar from Los Angeles for several years. LA Rail is going to attempt operating several private railcar trips with our two remaining cars, TIOGA PASS and PACIFIC SANDS, in mid August. One trip will be a round trip from LA to Seattle, featuring fine meals prepared on board and your own private sleeping rooms, with magnificent scenery all the trip thru. Another trip will be LA to San Diego, but on this trip, Amtrak requires our private cars remain coupled in the train consist and run LA to San Diego, then back to Santa Barbara, back to San Diego, and then back to LA late in the evening. We may have to operate this way on both Saturday and Sunday! Our guests will be able to pick which legs they want to ride, (or all of them?). We will post further developments as we negotiate with Amtrak to keep you informed. Questions or suggestions?
