It sounds like "oz" but it's the way you pronounce "aus"--the three-letter abbreviation for the country.

You don't have to have a pickup truck/jeep/SUV for offroad access. Just get a rally-spec Subura Imprezza WRC (or probably any Subaru 4WD model for that matter).

I should have had one last week. I drove my Chevy Futura van from Drake, to Perkinsville, to Jerome and on to the Verde Valley RR station. The scenery is beautiful but we had to hurry to make the train. The route is Arizona State routes 71 and 73. It is unpaved so the van is very dusty. Only one rock bumped the bottom of the car. Then we road the rails back to Perkinsville. The weather was bad on Thursday so we returned via Sadona and Flagstaff. It snowed on I-40. My wife took me out for me birthday! I don't think I can repeat this trip soon.

Sounds good. I just crested 220,000 miles on my current ride.

Next time, I'll take the Rally WRX too.

You guys have it all wrong.

What to do when trespassing becomes a concern? Well, the railroad might own the land, but not the airspace. Available with optional .50-cal machine guns to take care of speed traps, Barney Fife, Rent-A-Cops, and the idiot who walks in your shot at the photo runby. All models equipped with cable cutters for those power lines ruining your steam shots.
