bnsf capital commitment

In the news section on this subject it explains of various projects. One project is an expansion of the intermodal facility in San Bernardino. Does this involve any actual rail expansion of just container storage? The container storage has relly expanded in the area. There does not seem to be any room for rail expansion however. There has been talk over the years of a possible second site.

I don't know for sure, but when the Terminal Manager for San Bernardino came to BNSF's Los Angeles/San Bernardino/Needles hiring session last Wednesday, he sounded very optimistic about the future of the Intermodal Facility. Mainly due to the projected increase in traffic over the next few years with the tripple tracking projects on BNSF's San Berdoo and Cajon Subs.
