Montana - Working on the RR Contest Entries

Working a grain elevator in northeastern, Montana, February 2005.

These gentlemen were loading a Dakota, Missouri Valley, and Western Railroad grain train. The "safety yellow" colored posts & beams in the photos are a safety structure to which the workers attach their harnesses. Examination the second image shows the cable running from the safety structure to the worker.

Coal train derailment in Miles City, MT on July 2, 2007. I was nearby when this happened and took numerous photographs over the next several days of the clean-up process. Thanks for looking!
