Western Railroad Discussion > Pair of BNSF trains pause at the "Short Stop"Date: 06/08/09 04:43 Pair of BNSF trains pause at the "Short Stop" Author: JoCoLB I couldn't resist snapping this photo when I spotted a couple of BNSF trains pausing side by side on the elevated track on the Fort Scott Sub in Olathe, KS, on May 8, 2009. The trains were pausing at a location next to a defunct convenience store, formerly known as the "Short Stop." One of the trains was a unit coal train and the other was a mixed manifest. The trains were headed south on runs from Kansas City to Fort Scott, KS.
