White trains, white backdrop in Montclair, CA today
Author: PasadenaSub

Inspired by oyw's thread yesterday with the sunny skies on Metrolink's San Bernardino line (ex-ATSF Pasadena Sub) - I headed over to the big open field east of Central Ave. in Montclair today. There are only a few months when there is green grass in the field, which coupled with the recent snow deposited by the week's storms made for a nice scene. Here's eastbound Metrolink train 364 led by interim-schemed F59PHi 883 just after 2pm - framed beneath (from left) Mt. Baldy (aka Mt. San Antonio), Ontario Peak, and Cucamonga Peak. Train 364 usually waits for westbound train 365 at the end of double-track in Montclair, but departed the station without delay today, which would suggest 365 running significantly late.

Thanks for looking,

Rich

Nicely done Rich, I was over there again today around 11AM and thought I might see you then.

Great shots! Finally some payoff from the week of storms.
