Is this Saco, Ca ??

I went to caption this thing this morning and couldn't remember where I shot it. Just north of Bakersfield, Ca, on the UP.

Yup, looks like Saco to me, and those storage
tracks with all the tank cars is of course where the famous Bakersfield - Dolores unit oil train received its load of crude oil. Sure wouldnt know it now. The loading facility there was dismantled a couple of years ago if I recall.

Yes, that is Saco. The northbound train is going over the south switch.

Yes, that is one reason I wasn't sure whether this was really Saco.

Yeah, not sure when they took out the old cantilevering oil loading platform at Saco but it was some time last year. Nice crisp, clear image Kit!
