From where, then? Kansas? Seems like the long way around... Ted in OR Date: 04/20/11 03:07 Re: Canadiens invade Fresno! Author: BobE Maybe they were headed to the Staples Center for the Kings-Sharks game.
BobE Date: 04/20/11 03:23 Re: Canadiens invade Fresno! Author: CP9300 HOLY COW that power stayed on all the way down, and nobody caught this train the entire way between Seattle and CA??!!?? This train southbound from Canada was symboled the G-VBTGUC and made it's way down to Guernsey,CA with a 100 car train of Canola Meal for the elevator in Guernsey. I imagine the northbound symbol would be the G-GUCVBT and it is empty heading back to Canada for eventual return to Saskatchewan for reloading. This train should make the trek to CA and back a few more times in the coming months before returning the cars to the regular Canadian export circuit. For those interested the origination for this train was Canora,SK in Canada. See http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,2440859 for more info. The train was rumored to get additional BNSF power for the trip to CA but looking at these pictures it would appear that did not happen. Trace cars are CEFX 352140 and TILX 54274.
Happy Hunting, it would be great if someone got this train on the trip north. A.J. |
