Western Railroad Discussion > Pacing a Train on Google MapsDate: 07/27/11 14:24 Pacing a Train on Google Maps Author: warrenpweiss Just by chance, I happened to be using Google's "Street View" on hwy 65 just north of Roseville, CA, and saw a string of freight cards. I followed it and it appeared to be headed southbound. Eventually I caught up with the locomotives. It was almost as fun as being there in person (didn't have to worry about crashing my car, but missed the sounds). Go to http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.007342,-121.419311&spn=0,0.004506&fb=1&gl=us&cid=0,0,15426271602688357799&z=18&layer=c&cbll=39.007341,-121.419311&panoid=_ACKE1CqPKnkfuVE9fdrYA&cbp=12,44.38,,0,13.07 , face Southwest, and have fun!
