Question about Metro East Industries property in E.St.L

I notice that Metro East Industries has a turntable on their property and there is a large yard as well. Did they construct the turntable or is there a history to the property that someone can share?

it was the former General Railroad I think they had a big contract to rebuild military switchers back in the eighties,before that it was part of the Alcoa aluminum plant.

This company was known as Construction and Mining Services, and under that name rebuilt US Military Locomotives, the Turntable was there in the Late 90's on a visit there.
