Western Railroad Discussion > Floyd Valley Grain: Hinton Iowa . . .Date: 11/10/11 16:32 Floyd Valley Grain: Hinton Iowa . . . Author: SCKP187 Just a grab shot while going on a trip in Iowa approx August 2009. This is a grain load-out facility that handles 110 car unit trains, served by both UP & BNSF. I believe these are SD24s ??. An internet article indicates the trains are 440000 bsh and they can load 60000 bsh per hour. There was a discussion a couple of years ago about them but I don't recall any photos at that time--the person in the discussion was from the area and retired Navy or soon-to-be-retired.
Thanks for looking Brian Stevens Date: 11/10/11 16:38 Re: Floyd Valley Grain: Hinton Iowa . . . Author: QU25C At one time SD24's Deturboed now.
