Western Railroad Discussion > Whats to happen to the last FP45??Date: 07/27/03 21:05 Whats to happen to the last FP45?? Author: Dash Santa Fe sold FP45 #91 (delivered as ATSF 101) to Wisconson Central prior to the BNSF merger. While on vacation in Chicago, I found WC 6652 stored out of service. WC 6652 is the only ATSF FP45, except for the two that were wrecked, with its fate uncetain. All the other FP45s are preserved in museums. The fate of this locomotive ultimately rests in the hands of Canadian National, but I think it would be great if the last of the great FP45s could be preserved. Does anyone have thoughts on this situation?
Cya Down the Line! --Dash Date: 07/27/03 21:14 CANADA = High bidder Author: trainhorns I think this has to be auctioned off to the high bidder. Canada government law or something.
How about using it as a operating locomotive repainted in the warbonnet as a tribute to everyone who has died at the hands of the railroad industry.
