Mr. MRL Date: 11/19/11 15:22 Re: where am I?.. this should be easy Author: truxtrax Yessir, on the old highway coming into Livingston. I passed on a trip the day before Christmas in 1981, but my sleeper partner was greedy so he went to Chicago with an extra board driver. This truckstop was the first place east of Spokane that was still serving food, and the next place east wasn't until Mandan ND! Joe told me later he wished he'd passed. Coming home out of Chicago they didn't find a cafe until the Twin Cities and then Mandan again. They were stuck in a road closure at Lookout Pass for 41 hours and helped clean out the food at the restaurant in Haugen MT
right down to the soda crackers in the little two packs and reusing the coffee grounds a second time with half the water in the pot! Larry Dodgion Wilsonville, OR |
