I was called out for a photo of this weekend's planned MRL 25th Anniversary Employee Special train. All the equipment is in place, once the power is attached it should be ready for Friday's first departure. The mix of equipment is not all that bad and 8 cars with power should make this a respectible train for photographers. MRL 260 and MRL 259 are the likely power for redball fans.

Five years ago on MRL's 20th Anniversary the power was nearly new MRL 4312 seen here at Ravalli. Friday's train will pass this location twice each way and there is fresh snow on the Missions in the background.

The chase is on, the train departed Missoula on time, 1100. Other fans have been seen in the field.
