Amtrak on the Western Slope
Author: rcfarewell

All,

We don't often see Amtrak images from Colorado's Western Slope, so here are a couple from October 1 of this year. The first image finds No. 5 reflecting light within Byers' Canyon. Present were AMTK 162 and 170.

The second image is of the same train, same day, this time further west near Yarmony, Co.

Comments, thoughts??

Beautiful! Are these fairly accesible locations, or is some hiking required?

The Byers Canyon shot is from the highway (US 40)!

The Second shot is about to enter Little Ruby canyon and is a 100 foot hike from Trough Road, a mostly dirt run from near Kremmling to State Bridge.
