South Fork, Colorado question.
Author: tomstp

On the SL&RG track in South Fork is a former SP GE "B truck" type diesel. It has been sitting there for years. Anyone know why?

It is blocked in there by several miles of stored cars.

The old Dash 7 belongs to Don Shank and the Denver & Rio Grande Historical Foundation team - the operators of the line out towards Creede. It runs (or at least, it did run years ago) and saw brief service on the SLRG.

Last time I saw it the unit was in Alamosa.
