Sanger, TX mural on retaining wall
Author: WrongWayMurphy

I recently closed on an office/warehouse property in downtown Sanger so have been
motoring there often the past couple weeks working with contractors getting the place
fixed up, and noticed this mural on a retaining wall by the freeway. Sanger is a
Santa Fe town about 60 miles north of Fort Worth.

Pic one - about half the painted wall
Pic two - close up of the Santa Fe steamer
Pic three - Santa Fe depot

Happily the Santa Fe depot still exists
Sadly, it was moved to Tioga, TX about 10 years ago
Happily the new owner made a restaurant in the depot at Tioga
Sadly, the restaurant did not stay open long.
Happily, it is now open as a trading post or resale shop of some kind (if I recall correctly)
Sadly, my memory is not what it once was.

Dang good job on the Santa Fe engine. You need to find out who painted it.

There is also a nice wall mural at Shamrock, TX.

Is that mural lighted?
