Western Railroad Discussion > I Just Can't Get Enough!

With all due respect to Depeche Mode, I just can't resist shooting the KCT "GP35's" in Kansas City, and I was wondering if you have those units or trains in your area that you find yourself repeatedly shooting.

KC's other sweet local pair currently are the two BNSF "GP30's" that can often be found powering the KCS Flyer to/from Knoche.

Here are two views of the KCT units at Santa Fe Junction this past weekend.

#2 is a really cool & (future) timeless shot, showing how busy SF Jct can get. I can think & look back 50 years (through Bill Gibson's eyes)
and picture 3 blue F noses with a who-knows-what passing in front...

Thanks, Lance. Along those lines though, check out the BN transfer poking around in the back of shot one as well. It was like shooting fish in a barrel on Saturday.

Haha... thanks. In full disclosure though, I first learned of the song by way of the soccer chant that uses it. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, look up "Celtic I cant..." and it'll pop up. Unreal.
