It's actually hdnews.net, as far as I know the KP is STILL shut down, three work trains are called out of Salina tomorrow to run to Oakley.

What I heard today is that trains will detour via Cheyenne - Greeley Sub and Gibbon Cutoff for at least a couple more days.

The only thing i saw moveing on the KP while cruiseing east on I70 was 10 C&NW ballst cars headed west behind 7425 and 3485 at Russell,KS Mike

Saw and EB coal thru Hays about 3pm Wednesday afternoon.

Any indication of why the elevator collapsed? Grain explosion? faulty materials? Lack of maintenance? I'm not sure who would investigate--I don't think there's an NTSB for grain storage facilities.

What kind of work trains? There's only one there and it went thru here at 9:00 am this morning.
