On our way to Valley Center , KS this morning, as we came up to the "paint booth" of the K&O RR West of Conway, KS., I could see another one sitting there. The front part, nose and cab was Green and the rest of the engine was a Gray primer with the windows masked off. Didn't have time to stop and take a pic. There was a White van sitting about 75' to the NW of the engine. When we can back, the whole front end was Gray primer and the only thing still Green was the back end of the engine. upkpan

Valley Center is a suburb of Wichita.

No, what I understand is that they do there painting down in the SE corner of the state. West of Conway is out in the wide open air. upkpfan

they have had units painted at Kingman in the past
Conway is more remote which is probably a good thing
