Ottawa Sunset
Author: santafe199

After shooting the Talgo train in Ottawa yesterday the 3 of us (bnsfsd70, Milw E-70 & myself) just hung around shooting the bull, along with a few trains.
It's a scene I've pleasantly experienced dozens of times in 3 + 1/2 decades of being a fan. The main event is over with, but it's such pleasant company
nobody really wants to leave. As the meager sunlight was draining from the sky all we were left with was fooling around with the artsy stuff.
Here is my stab at it:

1. BNSF 6203 on an EB grain empty at Ottawa, KS on December 2, 2012.

Thanks for looking!

I've taken many photos from that location, but none at sunset. Good job!

Nice shot. That sunset was a good one. Here are a few of mine from once the sun went down. For those of you following along, that second shot is of a trio of SD60M's, led up by the only H1 unit, the 8177.

Wasn't there at one time a track on that embankment on the right side of the picture? Would that have been the siding?

Yes, I believe there was a siding on that embankment at one time, possibly at late as the mid 1990's.
