West Coast Tropicana reefer question...
Author: Fizzboy7

For the Tropicana reefers that make it to L.A. on the head end of UP's stack train, what would be the current reporting marks for the cars? Just got in some new HO Red Caboose 57' reefers and the choices are TPIX and CSXT (paint schemes are the same).

May as well also ask, are they still sending out these 57' reefers on this train or is it just the newer, modern 64' Trinity reefers?

Thanks for any info...

They are TPIX and the newer 64' with the cooling unit hung on the end outside. The TPIX orange cars are pretty well replaced with the newer cars. The Red Caboose cars aren't completely correct but are the best available now for the cars before the newer 64' cars.
The 2 attached shots are the CSXT and newest TPIX cars.
