A friend of mine told me there is now unit trains of Soda Ash heading for Longview, Wa. Is it for export or a facility using soda?

This has been happening for years. Not as regular as Portland Terminal 4 trains, but often enough. They are for export.

Every once in awhile one of the Canpotex potash trains from Eastport goes to Longview instead of Terminal 5.

There's also been a few BNSF and UP Soda Ash trains this year bound for Grays Harbor, WA on the PSAP line.
