Western Railroad Discussion > Warm Coat Required for ViewingDate: 01/05/13 20:05 Warm Coat Required for Viewing Author: funnelfan These pics might make you bit chilly, so get nice and cozy before viewing. Ever since returning home from Christmas vacation to a snowy landscape complete with trees draped in white, I've been chomping at the bit for a sunny day. Of course last Wednesday when it was wall to wall sunshine, which I experienced while working all day. So when the morning sun shone through the blinds this morning I was out the door in a hurry. Unfortunately a thin layer of clouds soon crossed the sky and I had to settle for some subdued sunlight. I've been wanting to get a snow shot at location in the first photo for a long time. Luckily today I had two chances.
Ted Curphey Ontario, OR Date: 01/05/13 20:18 Re: Warm Coat Required for Viewing Author: funnelfan UP had two trains south and two north during these short daylight hours. First off was the QETHK that was 90% tankcars (LPG and Sulpher). Followed a hour or so later by a loaded Potash. Later a empty Potash with a UP SD9043MAC and a CEFX AC4400 was followed very closely by a Boardman Coal empty with a SD70ACE and SD70MAC leading. By noon the clouds had thickened up and it wasn't worth railfanning anymore.
