The Best for Last
Author: MacBeau

While traveling toward Palm Springs last week, this westbound string of autoracks replete with one of the Olympic units came crawling upgrade between West Palm Springs an Cabazon (real close to what us old SP folk would have called Fingal back in the day), but a fresh out of the box Ace on the rear took the prize in my humble opinion.
Be of good cheer,

Great photos as usual, Mac. The unit in picture two looks likes it's equipped with a rear plow pilot, but on closer inspection turned out to be a rather deceitful combination of mud and shadow.

Nice train. One thing has not changed over the decades of watching trains. Cathing a new unit is always a memorable event.

That's not easy to do, although he was probably standing in the shade of a billboard!
